Congratulations to Sister Sara Collins!
Sara Collins was awarded the Thomas O. Davis Award. Named for Decatur’s long time city attorney, Thomas O. Davis, the award honors a public employee who helps strengthen the bond between government and the community, serves as role model for others in public service, contributes to the well-being of the community, inspires others to get involved in public service, and serves the public with respect.
Sister Collins has worked at the DeKalb County Public Library for the past 15 years with a smile on her face. From hosting the monthly senior citizen movie events, to registering new users from Decatur High school, she comes into contact with all walks of life at the library. She also mentors new hires and serves as a role model to all employees. She is an inspiration to “keep on keep keeping on!”
