Our Discipleship classes provide a structured in-depth exploration of the Bible for those who have answered God’s call to follow Him.  In addition to the Sunday morning teaching hour, we include topical classes like MasterLife, Experiencing God, and the Disciple’s Prayer Life for a more directed Bible study. Throughout the year, we offer classes in a variety of fields to help equip the student for a deeper walk with the Lord.  These classes will cover the primary doctrines and truths we believe every disciple of Christ should know.  We also offer a variety of “How To” classes that will equip the student in areas such as finances, relationships, faith and more.  Our topics are as diverse as our congregation so there’s sure to be something for everyone.

When we work, we work; when we pray, God works. Prayer is the means God has ordained by which He will work on earth and meet the needs of his people.

ENR001 – Enrichment Conference

Enrichment Conference is designed to encourage, refresh and renew the Beulah family and friends through a passionate pursuit of Jesus Christ in worship, times of prayer, special guest speakers, and praise-worthy stories. Are you ready to grow where God has planted you? Whether home, work, church, or community, God has a work for you to do and you do not want to miss this conference! Held annually, in the month of November.

EXP001 – Experiencing God

Experiencing God builds on the precepts of MasterLife by focusing on the need for every believer to have a personal encounter with God. Through the development of one’s personal relationship with God, Experiencing God will share seven realities of God, which will enhance the walk of every believer. To truly know God is to have a personal encounter, an intimate experience with him. Over the course of 12 weeks, you will come to know God in a very real and personal way.
Experiencing God is a small group setting that helps you see some of the ways in which God speaks and interacts with us, and allows us to encounter His presence.

GID001 – Gideon

Gideon is a 7-week study that looks at Gideon’s life and examines your weakness and God’s strength. When we hear the name Gideon, most of us think about his 300 soldiers or the fleece he laid out under the evening sky. But Gideon’s story is so much bigger than that. Like everything else in the Bible, this is a story about God and His people. This study will encourage you to recognize your weakness as the key that the Lord gives you to unlock the full experience of His strength in your life. Those places where you feel insufficient create the greatest opportunity to experience the sufficiency of God.

MasterLife

MLB001 – MasterLife Book 1: The Disciple’s Cross, is the first of four books in that discipleship process. Through this study you will experience a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ as He leads you to develop six biblical disciplines of a disciple. (Not offered in 2016)

MLB002 – MasterLife Book 2: The Disciple’s Personality will focus on your relationship with Christ. In this study, your character will be transformed into Christlikeness through the work of the Holy Spirit.

MLB003 – MasterLife Book 3: The Disciple’s Victory will help you experience victories over the world, the flesh, and the devil in spiritual warfare.

MLB004 – MasterLife Book 4: The Disciple’s Mission will help you join God’s mission of making disciples by identifying your stage in growth and our role in ministry.

MOC001 – The Mind of Christ

The Mind of Christ class is an in-depth discipleship study that introduces believers to a lifelong process through which God will renew their minds and their lives to reflect the image of Christ. Based on Philippians 2:5: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,” this 12-week study shows you how Jesus’ mind worked and how the Holy Spirit can teach you to think as He did.

Participants will be guided to begin applying a three-stage process through which God will establish a Christ-like mind in them, follow Christ’s example in servanthood, and understand 17 virtues of the mind of Christ.

MV001 – Made Virtuous

Made Virtuous is  a comparative study of the woman with the issue of blood and the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31. Made Virtuous is for all women. This study examines the woman with the issue of blood and her quest to gain virtue from the Lord. Her determination
and transformation, through her faith, is a model for women to follow. God desires the very best for His daughters. Walking with Christ Jesus affords the women the opportunity privilege to be “Made Virtuous.”

Scripture Engagement

Spiritual Growth and the Scriptures
Ask many Christians of different ages and spiritual maturity levels what they believe is the best way to grow as a Christian, and the most common answer you will get is “pray and read the Bible.” And that’s a good answer.  A maturing Christian continually grows in faith, hope, and love for God and others (1 Corinthians 13:13; Matthew 22:36-40). Prayer and Scripture reading are foundational to the spiritual growth of all believers.

Do You Know How?
Has anyone taught you how to read to the Bible for spiritual growth? You may have been told to read the Bible, but chances are you were never really taught how to read the Bible. You were not given clear instructions about the reading process, so you probably spent a lot of time floundering around the Bible when some clear instructions could have made a deep impact on your spiritual life. We want you to learn how to engage the Bible to know God, not just know about God.

Scripture Engagement
What is Scripture engagement?

The Bible itself teaches us how we are to approach God’s Word.  Words the Bible uses include “meditate” (Psalm 1:2; Joshua 1:8), “reflect” (2 Timothy 2:7), “look intently” (James 1:25), “dwell” (Colossians 3:16), “ponder” (Psalm 119:95), “consider” (Jeremiah 2:31), and even “eat” (Jeremiah 15:16; Revelation 10:9-11). The phrase that summarizes this process is “Scripture engagement.”

Conclusion
So what is Scripture engagement? Dr. Fergus Macdonald writes, “Scripture engagement is interaction with the biblical text in a way that provides sufficient opportunity for the text to speak for itself by the power of the Holy Spirit, enabling readers and listeners to hear the voice of God and discover for themselves the unique claim Jesus Christ is making upon them.” It is a way of hearing and reading the Bible with an awareness that it is in the Scriptures that we primarily meet God.

JESUS: Everyday A Fresh Start

 Synopsis:

God’s perfect plan for His children includes an abundant source of grace and a measure of new mercies each and every morning. Join us on a “fresh” journey as we walk together to discover a renewed sense of the many promises God has waiting on those who believe and receive! Each day, you will learn the beauty waiting inside of God’s Word and realize your past is a part of your story, but your destiny is still a part of God’s glory!

The 30- Day Challenge:

This Refresh Devotional effort will take place each morning(your morning) for 30 consecutive days. Through 30 days of prayer, devotion and self-reflection, the Fresh Start journey asks you to meet Jesus at the beginning of your day.

“This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning:  great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:21-23

Process begins to change our perspective and we realize the best part of our day(morning) is the time spent with Jesus. We begin to crave more time with the Savior and the time spent begins to reflect in how we act, what we say and eventually, who we are.

The Indwelling Spirit

This course provides inspiring and practical teaching on the Work of the Holy Spirit. In this study you will…

  • Experience growth, personal fellowship and knowledge of God through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was to be the result of pardon from sin.
  • Andrew Murray shares his insights on all aspects of the Holy Spirit’s work in the Christian’s life. Some Examples
    • Being Indwelt with the Holy Spirit
    • Being filled with the Holy Spirit
    • Walking in the Holy Spirit
    • The Work of the Holy Spirit
    • The Spirit’s ministry in the Church

Examples of Chapter Topics

  • A New Spirit, and God’s Spirit:

A new spirit is given to us in regeneration. The Spirit’s work in Convincing us of sin and of righteousness, in His leading to repentance and faith and the new life, is the preparatory work.

  • The Baptism of the Holy Spirit:

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

  • Worship in the Spirit:

We need the Holy Spirit’s indwelling for life and worship. To receive Him fully, the flesh must be silenced.

  • The Spirit and the Word:

We may understand the words and doctrine of Scripture with our intellect and yet know little of their life or power.

  • The Spirit of the Glorified Jesus:

When poured out on Pentecost He came as the Spirit of the glorified Jesus, the spirit of the incarnate, crucified, and exalted Christ.
