In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Beulah Lights, Beulah’s ministry devoted to bringing awareness to the most-commonly diagnosed form of cancer in American women, is excited to bring you exclusive stories every week in October.
This week, we’ll learn more about the revered Grand Marshalls — honorees selected by the Beulah Lights as leaders for its inspirational walks traditionally held on the first Saturday in October on our church campus and throughout the surrounding community.
The Beulah Lights began selecting Grand Marshalls five years ago, leaning on the ministry’s foundational scripture, 2nd Corinthians 5:7, which reads in part: “for we walk by faith, not by sight.”
The Grand Marshalls are Beulah women that have demonstrated courage and commitment in the spirit of love and unity.
In 2016 Sis. Tesia K. Sharpe
In 2017 Sis. Phyllis Brumfield
In 2018 Sis. Paula Neely
In 2019 The late Sis. Juanita Clarke
And in 2020 Sis. Rose Nesmith
Beulah, please join the Beulah Lights’ as they salute this esteemed group of women warriors for their dedicated commitment and service.
As a church family, we pause to honor them and the Beulah Lights as they continue to PRAY, TALK about the importance of breast cancer awareness and WALK.
Walking for a great cause and a cure. Walking with Jesus leading the way. Walking by FAITH and NOT by sight!
