Let’s Do it Beulah! 12, 300 Canned Goods
Let’s Stock the Genie Bread Basket
According to the Food Aid Foundation, there are 795 million people in the world who do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That calculates to about one in nine people on the earth. The majority of those persons live in developing countries, where 12.9% of the population is undernourished. When people are not properly nourished, they are not able to operate successfully in school, in the workplace and in daily living.
Here at Beulah, we may not be able to combat hunger on the world’s scale, but we are doing our part to feed members of our community. Genie’s Bread Basket is open every Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and here at the Help Station, we are working to ensure that it remains stocked through 2020. It is the mission of the church during this month of November and during our 123rd Church Anniversary Celebration to collect 12,300 canned good and dried good items to do our part to combat world hunger. Beulah, join us as we fight to end hunger!
