Family Life Center: Resumption of Services

Effective February 7, 2022, the family life center will open under a controlled resumption of services.  Access will be granted to those who were members of the center as of March of 2020.  In addition, those members who wish to use the facilities of the center must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination.

Please refer to the list of Questions and Answers below to gain a better understanding of the center’s operation while observing the COVID guidelines.

The COVID guidelines will be adjusted as the situation changes over a course of time.

Questions and Answers

  1. Question: When will the family life center resume operations?

The family life center will resume operations on Monday, February 7th.

  1. Question: Will the center resume its formal operation hours?

Yes, the center will be open:

Monday           Friday 6am – 8pm
Saturday          9am – 5pm

  1. Question: Will members have to be vaccinated to use the center facilities?

Yes, the center will follow the same protocol as the church.  Only fully vaccinated members will be allowed to enter and use the facility.  Member will be required to provide proof of vaccination and pass Beulah’s Covid Pre Entrance Check List which includes temperature check and COVID screening.

  1. Question: Will members be allowed to bring a guest to the center?

No, not at this time.  The center is only allowing members to use the facilities.

  1. Question: Will the center be accepting “New” Membership?

The center will not be accepting “New” Memberships immediately upon reopening.  This decision will be revisited at a later date as the center gain experience working under the COVID guidelines.

  1. Question: What if I purchased a Term (30 days, 90 days, etc.) Membership?

The center will honor all pre-paid memberships purchased before the center’s closing.

  1. Question: Will the center resume “Rental Services” upon reopening?

No, not at this time, the center and the church will closely monitor the center’s reopening strategy for advancement.

  1. Question: Will the center resume Core Programing (Group Classes, Aquatic Classes, Arts & Crafts)?

No, not at this time, the center and the church will closely monitor the center’s reopening strategy for advancement.

  1. Question: Will members be required to wear mask?

Members will be required to always wear a mask while in the center unless participating in the following activities – Morning Group and Swimming (must be in the pool)

  1. Question: Will members be allowed to congregate and socialize with-in the center?

Not at this time, the center is asking all members to come in and participate in your selected activity and depart the facilities.

  1. Question: Will the center be implementing additional cleaning processes and procedures to address cleanliness

Yes, the center has implemented several new processes and procedures to address facility, equipment, and personal sanitation which includes but is not limited to the following:

  1. Hand Sanitizing Stations have been placed throughout the facility
  2. Staff will be sanitizing all fitness equipment on a frequent basis.
  3. Members will also be provided with sanitizing units they can carry with them to sanitize various pieces of equipment as they workout e.g., dumbbells, benches, grips, and mats.
  4. The center’s Facility Department has installed an Ultra-Violent filtering system in the center Heating and Ventilation system to improve sanitation of circulating air in the center.
  5. The center’s Front Desk will be enforcing 6 feet distancing during the check in process (Households may approach the center as one group)
  6. The center has improved spacing in the fitness room to better observe social distancing.
  7. Only 4 participants at one time will be allowed in the center’s aerobic room. The Fitness Area will allow 15 participants at one time
  8. No Basketball Games (Pick-up or Structured). Members may shoot around with 2-person max per goal.
  9. Only 10 members will be allowed to utilize the pool during open swim periods.
  10. We are asking members to observe proper social distancing while in the fitness areas, walking track, and aquatics area. We are also asking to you wipe down equipment after use and to wash your hands frequently and most importantly—- STAY SAFE and WELL!!

12.  Question: Will unvaccinated children be permitted to enter the family life center?

NO, as stated previously, the center must follow the COVID guidelines of the church and only vaccinated individuals may enter the family life center.
