It’s Black History Month and we are so excited!! Noted historian Carter G. Woodson created Negro History Week in February 1926 and it later became a month-long celebration, where we commemorate our history and preserve the richness of Black culture.
In a time where some may seek to minimize or even erase our contributions, it is important to pass down meaningful customs to the younger generations.
On Sunday, February 22, 2026, the Youth and Adults of the Sunday School Ministry
will present, “Beyond the Game: Our Legacy Endures,” written by Dr. Sherri Allen, during the 9:30am
morning worship service. Join them as they highlight valued traditions of our people.
