May is Mental Health Month. Sunday, May 19th is Mental Health Sunday. We wear GREEN
The Health Resource Ministry asks that you wear something green in recognition of Mental Health Day to emphasize the need to take care of our mental health and spiritual health every day.
If you or someone you know is facing a Mental Health Crisis, the Health Resource Ministry encourages you to Call or TEXT 988. You can also chat at www.988lifelong.org.
You can also go to www.mygcal.com and enter your zip code to locate service providers. Both services are available 24/7.
Prior to Mental Health Sunday, the Health Resource Ministry will hold the Virtual Mental Health Symposium Saturday, May 18th, 10 am – 12 noon via Zoom.
Attend the Symposium to obtain additional mental health information and resources such as what are some of the signs and symptoms of someone facing a CRISIS, how to access and navigate mental health services, and what to expect and where to find help. Make it a “Family Affair” and invite your family and friends to attend.
